Milan, 21 May (LaPresse) – Only 41.9% of Italians use their mobile phones correctly whilst driving, using voice assistants or Bluetooth. This is one of the findings from the fifth edition of the Driving Styles Survey commissioned by Anas, a company of the FS Group, and conducted by GR (Global Research) through interviews with a sample of over 4,000 people and 5,000 direct observations on the road. 14.6% of respondents still dial the number before activating the hands-free system, and 8.9% drive with their smartphone in hand. 34.5% never use their phone whilst driving. Furthermore, 75% of Italians consider it dangerous to use a mobile phone at the wheel. The most undisciplined drivers are those of hire vehicles, less experienced drivers and motorcyclists.
