Rome, Delmastro in the Anti-Mafia Committee: ‘I never told Meloni about the company with Caroccia’

Rome, 26 May (LaPresse) – ‘I never informed Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni that I had set up a company. The only person I told was the Honourable Giovanni Donzelli, who came to the restaurant just once to eat but stayed for only a few minutes. No other MP has ever visited the restaurant’. So said the former Undersecretary for Justice, Andrea Delmastro, during his hearing before the Anti-Mafia Commission, responding to questions regarding his involvement in the business ‘Bisteccheria d’Italia’, which was run by the company ‘Le Cinque Forchette’ together with Miriam Caroccia, daughter of restaurateur Mauro, who is currently in prison for money laundering linked to the Senese clan.
