Today, for us as for Italy, for an entire nation, safeguarding our institutions, the Republic and democracy means guaranteeing and protecting our certainties: freedom, the State, civil life, security‘ and ’for this reason, we have a duty to build, as we have been doing for years, quietly, without fanfare, but with confidence, a credible, modern and well-prepared defence force, to guarantee peace and protect our citizens”.
