Rome, family killed in Casalotti: Killer’s cleaver seized

Rome, June 27 (LaPresse) – Investigators from the Homicide Unit of the Rome Police Headquarters’ Mobile Squad seized a cleaver last night, immediately after the triple homicide in Via Montiglio, in the Casalotti district of Rome. Detectives believe the weapon was used in the killings. Police and Carabinieri are searching for a Bangladeshi national, a compatriot of the three victims and a family friend, who allegedly fled the house on foot shortly after the murders. According to information obtained by LaPresse, the suspect works at a local supermarket belonging to the same chain that employs the family’s 18-year-old son, who survived the attack. The motive behind the triple homicide remains unclear.
