Milan, July 3 (LaPresse) – A 28-year-old man, a Peruvian citizen, died after entering Milan’s “Centro Balneare Romano” municipal pool on Via Zanoia: the man reportedly entered the sports facility, which was closed, and dove into the water. Emergency responders, alerted by the young man’s friends who were present, arrived around 11:50 p.m. and found him in the water already in critical condition: he was transported to the Policlinico Hospital while receiving CPR, but died shortly after arriving at the hospital. In addition to firefighters and emergency medical services (118), officers from the Milan Police Headquarters were on the scene. According to an initial account, the 28-year-old reportedly climbed over the facility’s gate and, after consuming alcohol, dove into the water despite not knowing how to swim. The emergency services were alerted by the 28-year-old’s three friends who were with him inside the facility.
