Workplace accidents: worker crushed by 500-kg load in South Tyrol, in serious condition

Bolzano, July 3 (LaPresse) – A worker is hospitalized in serious condition following a workplace accident that occurred in Versciaco di Sopra, a hamlet of San Candido in South Tyrol. The alarm was raised around 11:15 a.m., when the worker was crushed by a 500-kilogram load while working at a construction site in the area. Emergency responders arrived immediately: a Croce Bianca ambulance and a rescue helicopter were dispatched to the scene. The worker, who was intubated due to multiple injuries, is currently hospitalized in Bolzano.
