Milan, 7 July (LaPresse) – The lorry driver who this morning struck and killed 67-year-old Laura Ghirardi – who was riding her bicycle when she was hit by the heavy goods vehicle at the junction of Via Gattamelata and Via Colleoni in Milan – has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. The man, a 33-year-old Italian, tested negative for alcohol: the lorry was fitted with a blind-spot sensor.
