(LaPresse) – The violent explosion that occurred around 8 a.m. today, outdoors, at the former Sabino Explodenti industrial site in Casalbordino (Chieti), currently managed by the Arca Defence Italy company, caused the death of worker and foreman Carlo Piscopo, 59, a resident of Casalbordino, originally from Montefalcone nel Sannio (Campobasso), and leaves behind a wife and two children. Another employee, GB, 54 years old, also originally from Montefalcone in the Sannio area, was transferred by air ambulance to the hospital at San Pio in Vasto (Chieti), his condition is not serious.”The explosion that hit the former Sabino Explodents plant in Casalbordino (Chieti) this morning leaves us shocked and deeply saddened”, said the president of the Province of Chieti, Francesco Menna, expressing on behalf of the Provincial Administration and its staff “the most sincere condolences and heartfelt closeness to the family of the worker who lost his life, to his colleagues, to the injured and to the entire community of Casalbordino, hard hit by this new tragedy.”
