Rome, July 11 (LaPresse) – Carabinieri from the Marano di Napoli station have arrested a 16-year-old for multiple attempted murder. Following orders from the Naples Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office, an order applying the personal precautionary measure of placement in a community facility was carried out against a minor strongly suspected of aggravated multiple attempted murder for having stabbed two peers, who were seriously injured and taken to hospitals in Pozzuoli and Giugliano in Campania. The restrictive measure stems from a timely investigative activity launched by the Carabinieri officers from the Marano di Napoli station, who went to the scene of the incident, a place regularly frequented by many young people, collecting testimonies from some of those present. The activities were then coordinated by the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office and carried out by the judicial police section of the Guardia di Finanza, which, through a complex and effective activity of collecting digital data and targeted technical checks, gathered serious evidence of guilt against the minor, identifying him as the alleged perpetrator of the attack. According to investigators’ reconstruction, the suspect allegedly attacked two peers, repeatedly striking them with a bladed weapon in vital areas of the body. The action, which caused serious injuries to both victims, did not result in their deaths only thanks to the prompt intervention of third parties and the immediate medical assistance provided at the hospitals of Pozzuoli and Giugliano in Campania. The investigative work shed light on the motive behind the crime, attributable to base and futile reasons linked to jealousy-related dynamics, highlighting a total disproportion between the cause and the seriousness of the conduct. The measure carried out today is a precautionary measure ordered during the preliminary investigation phase.
