Milan, 12 July (LaPresse) – “The winds of war are blowing once more in the Middle East, Ukraine and many other parts of the world, sowing violence, terror and death, and once again striking so many innocent people. Let us not allow these winds to extinguish the flickering flame of hope for peace, even when it is fragile and wavering.” Pope Leo XIV made these remarks at the end of the Angelus in the square at Castel Gandolfo. “I renew my hope that we may persevere along the path of dialogue, encounter and diplomacy, the only path capable of leading to a just and lasting peace, in which peoples may live in reconciliation, in mutual security and with respect for the dignity of every person,” added the pontiff.
