Rome, 15 July (LaPresse) – The Court of Cassation has upheld the 14-year and 9-month sentence handed down to Mario Roggero, the jeweller from Grinzane Cavour, in the Cuneo area, who killed two robbers and injured a third following the raid on his shop on 28 April 2021. The judges at the Court of Assizes of Appeal had reduced the sentence from 17 years to 14 years and 9 months’ imprisonment, whilst confirming the defendant’s guilt of murder and attempted murder.
