Rome, July 15. (LaPresse) – He admitted to knowing Valter Lavitola’s factotum, Cameroonian citizen Gomes Clesio Tavares, with whom he had worked as security at some premises in southern Italy, but categorically ruled out any form of direct acquaintance with Lavitola. This is what Pellegrino D’Avino voluntarily declared before the Rome DDA prosecutor, Edoardo De Santis. The man is in prison because he is believed to be one of the alleged perpetrators of the bomb attack carried out in October 2025 in front of the home of Report host Sigfrido Ranucci, along with other accomplices. The suspects’ defenses aim to downgrade the charges of crime, mafia-type criminal association, and attempted massacre to less serious ones.
