Bolzano, 16 July (LaPresse) – A major collapse occurred overnight in the central part of Bolzano courthouse, with the permanent fire brigade on duty since the early hours of the morning inside the courthouse. For reasons still under investigation, part of the building’s interior collapsed, bringing down large quantities of masonry and other structural elements. The rubble spilled into the main entrance area and onto the building’s staircase. The fire brigade immediately secured the affected area and is carrying out initial inspections and technical assessments. At the same time, the stability of the parts of the building involved is being assessed in order to plan the next steps. At present, no further details are available regarding the circumstances of the incident or the causes of the collapse. As the collapse occurred whilst the building was closed, no one was involved.
