Rome, July 16 (LaPresse) – Yesterday morning, Carabinieri from the ROS (Special Operations Group) and the Rome Provincial Command—supported by officers from Milan and acting on the authority of the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office (Department for Terrorism and Crimes against the Personality of the State)—executed search warrants covering the individuals themselves, their homes, and their digital devices. The two subjects—a 42-year-old from Rome and a 56-year-old from Milan—are under investigation for incitement to commit a crime, aggravated by terrorist intent; the charges stem from content disseminated via Instagram profiles linked to them. Investigations, which began with web monitoring and included technical analysis, revealed that the 42-year-old allegedly distributed pro-Hamas propaganda—including audio and video content—to an unspecified number of users, repeatedly referencing the October 7, 2023, attack in Israel. The 56-year-old is accused of disseminating propaganda supporting Hamas and Hezbollah—glorifying their actions and promoting their methods—as well as material celebrating anarcho-insurrectionist groups and inciting violence as a means of fighting against state institutions. During the searches, electronic devices and documents deemed of investigative interest were seized and will undergo further analysis. Additionally, the 56-year-old was arrested *in flagrante delicto* for possession of narcotics with intent to distribute, after several hundred grams of drugs and packaging materials were found in his possession.
