Man dies after jumping into the Adda River to save his 4-year-old nephew; body recovered

Rome, July 18 (LaPresse) – Fire brigade divers from Milan have recovered the body of the man who had been reported missing in the waters of the Adda River near Truccazzano after attempting to save his four-year-old nephew. According to rescuers, who responded at around 12:30 p.m., the child’s father and uncle were in the water when the boy jumped in and immediately got into difficulty. The uncle lost his life while trying to rescue the child. The victim, his brother and the four-year-old boy are all of Indian origin.
