Milan, 20 July (LaPresse) – The 27-year sentence handed down to Daniele Rezza has been upheld on appeal. He had been sentenced at first instance to 27 years for the death of Manuel Mastrapasqua, who was killed on the night of 11 October 2024 in Rozzano, in the province of Milan, whilst returning from work over a pair of wireless headphones worth 14 euros. This was ruled by the Milan Court of Assizes of Appeal. The Court ruled out the aggravating circumstance of ‘futile motives’ and upheld the charges of voluntary manslaughter aggravated by diminished defence, with general mitigating circumstances.
