Milan, 27 July (LaPresse) – Over the next few days, a strong and hot subtropical high-pressure system will extend from North Africa towards the central-western Mediterranean, reaching the Danube states and the Baltic countries by early August. As 3bMeteo meteorologist Manuel Mazzoleni explains: “The high-pressure system will also encompass the Italian Peninsula, bringing stable weather and, above all, a further significant rise in temperatures. Following the last spell of unsettled weather expected on Tuesday in the far south, the sun will once again take centre stage from north to south across the Italian peninsula, with the exception of a few heat-related thunderstorms that will form near the Alpine mountains in early August. Scorching air masses – Mazzoleni continues – with temperatures up to 8–12°C above the seasonal average, will first affect the central and northern regions and, from 6–7 August, the southern regions as well, bringing maximum temperatures well above average and tropical nights with minimum temperatures exceeding 25°C.”
