Beyond defining the August 2 massacre as a dark event, the courage must be found not only to say that it is ‘dark’, but that it is something more: that it is the darkest chapter of Italian neo-fascism and of the parts of the State that betrayed the Republic. A courage that must be consistent with actions.” Paolo Lambertini, president of the association of the families of the victims of the August 2, 1980 Bologna railway station massacre, said this while speaking at the commemoration ceremony and addressing an appeal to Prime Minister Meloni.
