Rome, 2 August (LaPresse) – “The director of the INGV Vesuvian Observatory has announced that the seismic swarm ended at 11.59 am today.” This is stated in a press release from the Prefecture of Naples. This morning, a meeting was held at the Government Palace, chaired by the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, attended by, amongst others, the President of the Campania Region, Roberto Fico, and the Bishop of Pozzuoli and Ischia, Monsignor Carlo Villano, to provide an update on the response following the 4.7-magnitude bradyseismic tremor on 31 July, with its epicentre in the Solfatara area. The ASL Napoli 2 Nord reported on the condition of the five people hospitalised following the earthquake, stating that they are showing signs of improvement. This is according to a statement from the Prefecture.
