Rome, 3 August (LaPresse) – Amanda Knox’s show is “a deplorable insult to Meredith’s memory”. This is according to Francesco Maresca, the Italian lawyer representing the family of Meredith Kercher, the young woman murdered in Perugia in 2007, commenting on Knox’s stand-up comedy routine about her legal case. Amanda Knox, who is set to perform her show in Edinburgh, was arrested, tried, convicted and finally acquitted of the murder charge, along with her then-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito. “The family is stunned,” emphasises Mr Maresca, adding that Knox “could do without reopening these sad chapters”.
