(LaPresse) – “A period of excruciating anticipation ends today.” This was stated by Family Minister Eugenia Roccella after the discovery of the body of her husband, Luigi Cavallari, who had been missing in the lake since June 27. “I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart the team that with such humanity and dedication searched for my beloved Luigi until he was found: the Prefecture of Viterbo which coordinated the operations, the Fire Brigade with their operational coordination, the Police, the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza who participated in the search, the institutions and inhabitants of Ronciglione who for a lifetime have been a great family for us. I return to thank the many people who have literally showered me with affection during this very difficult and painful time. Having found Luigi again does not ease the suffering of detachment but restores to me, to our children, to our family members and to the many people who knew and loved him, the possibility of that ‘correspondence of loving senses’ which is the profound bond between the living and those who are no longer in this world.
