These are the phrases, as set out in the order issued by the investigating judge, Iole Moricca, which Valter Lavitola is alleged to have written in messages to Sigfrido Ranucci in October 2024, as cited in the order. According to the investigating judge, Lavitola – regarded by investigators as the instigator of the attack – wanted to persuade Ranucci to stand as a candidate in the general election.
