Rome, 14 August (LaPresse) – In light of what emerged from the questioning of Valter Lavitola, lawyers Generoso Pagliarulo and Antonio Falconieri, acting for the four suspects deemed by the Rome Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA) to be the perpetrators of the bomb attack on journalist Sigfrido Ranucci on 16 October 2025 – who were arrested on charges of carrying out the attack – will request that their clients be questioned before the magistrates. Those arrested have exercised their right to remain silent and have made only voluntary statements. The charges brought against Antonio Passariello, Saverio Mutone, Pellegrino D’Avino and Marica De Filippis (under house arrest, ed.) range from possession, carrying in a public place and use of an explosive device, to threats and criminal damage, aggravated by the fact that they acted as a group of more than five people and in a mafia-style manner. Lawyer Generoso Pagliarulo explained to LaPresse: “What has emerged from Lavitola’s questioning now allows us to request that our clients be questioned.”
