Rome: serious accident on Corso d’Italia – 47-year-old motorcyclist killed

Milan, 16 Aug. (LaPresse) – A serious accident has occurred on Corso d’Italia near Villa Borghese, in which a 47-year-old motorcyclist lost his life. Patrols from the II Parioli Group of the Rome Capital Local Police attended the scene, where the rider of a Yamaha motorbike, who was travelling towards Piazzale Flaminio, is believed to have lost control of the vehicle for reasons yet to be established and crashed into the crash barrier. The Local Police are still carrying out investigations to reconstruct the exact sequence of events, the causes of which are currently being established. At present, no other vehicles appear to have been involved. A sudden illness cannot be ruled out as a possible cause. To facilitate the investigation, the affected section of Viale del Muro Torto has been temporarily closed, with additional patrols deployed to manage traffic flow.
