Messina: breakthrough in the investigation into the theft of artworks from the museum – the van used in the getaway has been found

Palermo, 17 August (LaPresse) – Detectives from the Mobile Squad and the Carabinieri’s Cultural Heritage Protection Unit have recovered the van used by the gang that carried out the heist at the regional museum in Messina, making off with four works by Antonello da Messina. The detectives found it in an area not covered by CCTV. The gang changed vehicles at that point to continue their escape in a clean vehicle.
