The victims of the threats were three cyclists from ASD Monselice: Erik Magagnotti, the 19-year-old from Trentino who had just been crowned Italian track cycling champion in the junior category, and two other team-mates. The athletes were training in the Euganean Hills when, whilst cycling along the Provincial Road 25 from Galzignano Terme to Torreglia, a car pulled up alongside them. First came the blaring of the car horn, then the gun appeared. The young Trentino champion’s father reported the incident, including via social media. The mother of one of the young athletes has filed a police report.
