Milan, 25 Aug. (LaPresse) – The Modena State Police have arrested a 48-year-old man for stalking his ex-partner and her son. The arrest followed an intervention on 22 August by a patrol car at the victim’s home after she had called 112 for help. The man, who had not lived with her for years, had turned up at the house on the pretext of seeing his son, but once inside, he threatened her by pointing a gun with a brown grip at her, before then pointing it at the woman’s other son. When the police arrived, the 48-year-old – who was still standing on the landing in front of the front door – paid no heed to the presence of the police and continued to threaten the woman and her son with death. After being detained by the police, the man was searched, as was his car, which was parked in the block’s courtyard; inside the car, a replica pistol – complete with an unloaded magazine, without a red cap and featuring a brown grip – was found and seized. Today, following the hearing, the investigating magistrate upheld the arrest and ordered the precautionary measure of house arrest in another county.
