The lawyer for the former publisher, detained in the investigation into the attack on journalist Sigfrido Ranucci, maintains that more than fifteen days have passed since the request for a review, a limit that would render the precautionary measure ineffective due to its expiration date. Cola also recalled the 2023 Nordio decree, according to which crimes aggravated by mafia methods or facilitation fall under organized crime and do not benefit from the weekday suspension of deadlines. On Monday, September 7, Lavitola will make spontaneous statements via video conference and will not attend the hearing in person before the judges of the Review Court of the Rome Court.
