Rome, 4 Sept. (LaPresse) – There will be more than 27 million journeys on Italian roads this final weekend of the summer return traffic. Anas has reported this, announcing that a ‘red alert’ is in place for Saturday afternoon and Sunday. “This weekend marks the end of the summer travel season,” said Anas’s chief executive, Claudio Andrea Gemme. “According to estimates from Anas’s Road Mobility Observatory, from today until Sunday 6 September, there will be over 27 million journeys on the roads and motorways managed by the FS Group company. These are days when traffic remains heavy across the road and motorway network, particularly on the main routes linking tourist destinations and major urban centres. Traffic flows affect the whole country and require the utmost caution from all road users.”
