Rome, pedestrian hit by taxi dies on Lungotevere

Milan, Sept. 5 (LaPresse) – A man has died after being hit by a taxi on Lungotevere dei Vallati in Rome. Patrols from the Historic Centre Group of the Rome Capital Local Police intervened last night at number 19, where a Toyota C-HR taxi struck a man, who was taken to Santo Spirito Hospital, where he subsequently died. The 32-year-old Italian taxi driver was taken to hospital for routine medical checks. The Local Police are investigating to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the incident and establish the identity of the victim, who was found without any identification documents.
