Rome, Sept. 7 (LaPresse) – The investigation involving businessman and PR professional Federico Monzino, who is under investigation for the alleged attempted extortion of Raoul Bova, has been closed by Eliana Dolce, deputy prosecutor at the Rome Prosecutor’s Office. The charges concern attempted extortion and violation of correspondence. According to prosecutors, the man allegedly tried to obtain money by threatening to publish private conversations between the actor and a model. The investigation file stems from the affair involving the audio recordings that became public knowledge in the summer of 2025. According to the Prosecutor’s Office’s findings, Monzino allegedly obtained the conversations on July 5 by taking them from the victim’s phone. A few days later, on July 9, he allegedly played the material to Fabrizio Corona, with the aim of facilitating its subsequent circulation on social media.
