Rome, 13 Sept. (LaPresse) – Pope Leo XIV, at the end of the Angelus in St Peter’s Square, marked the 25th anniversary of 11 September: “The memory of the tragic event of 25 years ago,” said Prevost, “urges us to renew our commitment to peace, first and foremost through prayer, which we entrust to the intercession of the Virgin Mary.” Speaking in English, and again recalling 11 September, the Pope said: “I renew my prayers for those who lost their lives and for all those who still bear the scars of that tragic day. At a time when conflict and violence afflict so many of our brothers and sisters, I invite everyone to pray that the Lord may grant peace to the world.”
