Milan, 17 Sep. (LaPresse) – Andrea Sempio and his defensive team meet again today in Rome. With 11 days to go until September 28th, when the deadline expires – unless extended – for the investigation by the Pavia Prosecutor’s Office which sees him under investigation for aggravated voluntary homicide for the murder of Chiara Poggi, the 38-year-old met today in the capital with his lawyers, Liborio Cataliotti and Angela Taccia, and his partisan consultants, the former policeman expert in crime scenes, Armando Palmegiani, and the geneticist who replaced General Luciano Garofano in 2025, assisting the defense in the DNA evidentiary hearing, Marina Baldi. Sempio was spotted in the streets of Rome with a new look and the meeting was held, as in recent months, at Dr. Baldi’s ‘Genomics’ laboratory on Via Arduino. The new consultants are also not in person but connected remotely: the coroner, Sabina Pelosi, and Giacomo De Angelis, a footwear specialist called to deal with Garlasco to compare the measurements of Frau shoe number 42, which the sentences sentencing Alberto Stasi indicate as the bloody footprint of the killer, with the foot of the Vigevano clerk already subjected to the measurements of Dr. Cristina Cattaneo, consultant to the prosecutors. According to leaks, it wasn’t an extraordinary meeting but a meeting for once in person, rather than on Zoom, for normal “in-depth analysis” ahead of the new investigation closure, following the one in May. Andrea Sempio’s defense team has reportedly not ruled out being ready to submit new technical advice, already being processed, to the Prosecutor’s Office headed by Fabio Napoleone and to Deputy Prosecutor Stefano Civardi, who coordinates the file entrusted to the Milan Carabinieri Investigative Unit on the crime of August 13, 2007.
