Rome, 21 Sept. (LaPresse) – A 30-year-old Iranian student, Fatemeh Khoshyom, has been found dead in her home. Marks consistent with strangulation were found on the woman’s neck, and a scarf was discovered next to the body. Suicide is one of the possibilities being considered by investigators. The body was discovered by her husband, a 33-year-old Iranian engineer, who called 112. The couple have a ten-year-old daughter. Paramedics from the 118 emergency service and officers from the Cassino police station attended the scene. The investigation is being co-ordinated by the Cassino Public Prosecutor’s Office, headed by Chief Prosecutor Carlo Fucci, and led by Deputy Prosecutor Chiara D’Orefice. The man was interviewed by investigators to piece together the final hours of his wife’s life and clarify the circumstances of her death. Forensic examinations have also been ordered.
