Worker killed at the Colosseum was not clipped onto the rope

Rome, 23 Sept. (LaPresse) – The 22-year-old worker who died overnight at the Colosseum in a workplace accident was wearing his harness but had not clipped it onto the rope. The rope is not believed to have snapped. Two other workers were present at the site and have been interviewed by investigators. The suspected offence is manslaughter. Once the contract documentation has been obtained, the training and safety conditions of the workers involved will be investigated. Checks have also been ordered on the other workers.
