(LaPresse) – “In accordance with instructions received from the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, who was on site during the night, the Colosseum Archaeological Park has ordered the closure of the Flavian Amphitheatre as a mark of mourning for the tragic death of the worker Andrea Moretti.” This is stated in a press release. “The decision, taken earlier last night, was implemented after the first visiting session – comprising thousands of people unaware of what had happened – had been managed. An immediate closure of the entrances would, in fact, have led to a large gathering of visitors outside the monument, with possible implications for safety and public order. Once the crowd has dispersed in an orderly manner, the Colosseum will be closed to the public.”
