Rome, Oct. 3 (LaPresse) – A journalist for an online magazine and a reporter for a Rai programme was identified by the Carabinieri after allegedly attempting to enter the condominium where an apartment used by Sigfrido Ranucci is located. The former host of Report wrote on his social media pages: “Yesterday morning, a journalist for an online magazine and a reporter for a Rai programme that for months has been broadcasting programmes aimed at discrediting me allegedly provided false personal details in order to gain access to the apartment at my disposal, and persuaded the unsuspecting cleaning lady to lie and ring the other residents of the condominium in order to get inside.” The journalist allegedly then asked for information about people entering and leaving the property. “The Carabinieri are investigating this mysterious and disturbing incident on suspicion of trespassing,” Ranucci added. Officers from the Roma Talenti Carabinieri station took the woman’s report, questioned witnesses and obtained CCTV footage. The incident had been reported the previous day by the blog Lettera43. The journalist who entered the condominium clarified what happened, explaining: “I was with my cameraman and was simply doing my job as a reporter.”
