Milan, 6 Oct. (LaPresse) – The Lombardy Regional Administrative Court has dismissed all appeals lodged by committees and citizens against the sale of Milan’s San Siro stadium and the surrounding areas by the City Council to Inter and Milan. Citing various grounds, Judges Mieli, Bini and Plantamura of the court’s Fifth Section rejected the claims of the ‘Gruppo Verde San Siro’ association, represented by lawyers Nespor and Boezi, the class action brought by environmental lawyer Veronica Dini – which included, amongst other groups, the Committee promoting the San Siro Referendum and the association ‘Le Giardiniere di Piazza d’Armi’ – which was dismissed on the grounds of lack of standing to challenge the resolution authorising the sale. The appeals, lodged in different years and concerning various aspects of the sale of the Meazza stadium, had all been consolidated into a single set of proceedings. The former deputy mayor of Milan, Luigi Corbani, had withdrawn from the group of appellants, along with the ‘Sì Meazza’ committee.
