Rome, 12 Oct. (LaPresse) – “Five consultations against the Prosecutor’s Office’s analyses: for Andrea Sempio’s defense, the footprints on the floor are crucial.” Lawyer Liborio Cataliotti explained this to “Dentro la notizia” on Canale 5, on the eve of the filing of the documents and after the technical meeting in Rome, at the forensic genetics laboratory, Genomica. “We have exactly five consultations nearing completion, addressing all the issues that have been critically examined, from our perspective, by the Public Prosecutor’s Office’s consultations. All the consultations of the Public Prosecutor’s Office will come from our consultants – to whom I must give public praise – refuted.” For Cataliotti, the most significant data concerns the traces on the floor: “There is one piece of data that, from my point of view, is cutting, namely the footprint on the ground. There are 25 of them. If the fingerprints left are smaller than Andrea Sempio’s foot, this is exculpatory evidence that obviously fundamentally excludes any possibility that Andrea Sempio could have been the perpetrator of the murder.” The lawyer reports that the defense repeated the experiments already conducted by the prosecution and Stasi’s consultants, claiming to have obtained opposite results, and then explained how: “We replicated, duplicated, and obtained completely opposite results all the experimental, technical, mechanographic, and scientific tests conducted by both the Public Prosecutor’s Office and Stasi’s defense. The so-called 6-on-the-ground footprint was treated with 3D instrumentation to determine whether or not it could be housed in the shoe that footprint left.” In conclusion, lawyer Cataliotti then stated: “We worked with doctors, university professors and engineers and on footprint 33 we did the same. We also repeated all the experiments carried out to verify whether the presence of blood in the footprint classified as 33” can be inferred chromatically.
Garlasco, Cataliotti’s lawyer: “The Prosecutor’s Office’s consultations will be refuted.”
