Genoa, Oct. 13 (LaPresse) – “Yes, we are being assisted by the consul and the ambassador, that is true. But I am getting ill from being in this situation.” Nessy Guerra, the 27-year-old from Sanremo who has been stranded in Egypt for three years and was convicted of adultery following an accusation by her ex-husband, told LaPresse, commenting on the remarks made by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani regarding her appeal posted on social media. “Moreover, a few days ago, Tajani’s spokesperson told my lawyer that I should not have gone to Egypt,” Guerra added. “We are not criminals: I am simply a mother trying to save her own life and that of her little girl by fleeing from a mentally ill criminal.”
