Rome, 14 Oct. (LaPresse) – Yesterday morning, the State Police, acting under the direction of the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Milan, arrested a 19-year-old man residing in the Pavia area on charges of the unlawful possession of ordinary firearms. Specifically, following a search authorised by the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office, the young man – who is under investigation for propaganda and incitement to commit offences on grounds of racial, ethnic and religious discrimination – was found in possession of several firearms: an FN Herstal Model 1906 pistol, calibre 6.35; a second FN Herstal Model 1910 pistol, calibre 6964; a Marocchi Model SM66 automatic rifle, 9 Flobert calibre, multiple bladed weapons and other objects capable of causing harm, including two sabres, several knives and daggers, brass knuckles, an axe and a hammer, a truncheon and a toy pistol without a red cap. Furthermore, officers from the DIGOS unit of the Milan Police Headquarters discovered, inside the bedroom, various items linked to the radical far right, including: reproductions and manuals by Hitler and Mussolini, National Socialist flags bearing the swastika, a ‘Skullmask’ – a typical item of clothing worn by internet users involved in subversive online communities – and propaganda material from that milieu depicting the Celtic cross, swastikas and the well-known symbol of the Nazi SS (Schutzstaffel).
