Milan, 20 Oct. (LaPresse) – “The problem is no longer the content of the testimonies; the problem is the character of those who made these statements. So, before considering the content of the testimonies – which comes later – we need to understand whether the person making the statements is credible or not, because if they are not, regardless of what they say, it is not acceptable; in other words, their statements are not credible because of the person” making them. Giuseppe Mussari made these remarks to LaPresse, referring to the testimonies in which he was implicated by the parliamentary commission of inquiry into the death of David Rossi, which identified the former chairman of MPS as the alleged instigator of the intimidation that is said to have led to the murder of the then head of communications at MPS. Speaking in recent hours about the content of the documents underpinning the Commission’s statements implicating him, Mussari described them as “absurd”, announcing his intention to take legal action against anyone who had sought to damage his reputation, whilst standing by these statements. “It’s now all in your hands, journalists,” says Mussari, referring to the press reports – first and foremost that in *Il Fatto Quotidiano* – which detail Saverio Giampà’s legal proceedings, in order to assess his contribution to establishing the truth regarding Rossi’s death. “You have had statements from an institutional body; you have had the statements made by these gentlemen; now you know who one of these gentlemen is. This is not idle talk; these are final court judgements. I have nothing further to say,” concluded Mussari.
Death of David Rossi: Mussari says, “The witness testifying against me is unreliable, with final judgements against him”
