EU, Landini: ‘CGIL in the square on 15/3 for Europe of peace, work and rights’.

Milan, Mar 9 (LaPresse) – ‘I still consider Enrico Berlinguer's teaching valid: if you want peace, build peace. As Zagrebelsky says, we must choose between a Europe that preserves its founding reasons and one that, through war, forgets them. We intend to defend the first of these, an alternative idea of Europe to the one we are being fed these days, bringing it on 15 March in Rome's Piazza del Popolo with the participation of the CGIL'. Thus, in a contribution published in ‘Repubblica’, CGIL leader Maurizio Landini. ‘I am well aware that there will not be a single point of view in that square but precisely for this reason I feel the duty to bring what the CGIL has always been committed to and, accepting the invitation of the mayor of Perugia, we will also be in the square with the flags of peace,’ Landini stressed.
