Governo, Santanchè: ‘Tensions? We're united, Salvini has a congress’

Milan, 24 Mar. (LaPresse) – ‘We are a compact and cohesive government. In foreign policy we have never voted differently as a centre-right party, both in the Chamber of Deputies and in the Senate, and that is a fact. We are a cohesive government, then I understand that Salvini also has a congress coming up soon… I have a lot of confidence in Meloni who has always found a synthesis of the different sensitivities’. This was said by the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè, during a press conference on tourism at the Fratelli d'Italia headquarters in Milan, commenting on the friction in the majority between Lega and Forza Italia. When asked if she hoped that the leader of the Lega could tone down his foreign policy after the congress, Santanchè replied: ‘It is not my hope. We are not a multicoloured government that came together for other reasons. We are implementing our government programme, so I am very calm about it. I don't see these divisions. I read things in the newspapers that never existed’.
