Chigi: ‘Italy will do its part, first meeting of ministers on Wednesday’

Rome, 14 October (LaPresse) – ‘Italy, as assured by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, is ready to do its part in the reconstruction process in Gaza’ and, “following the signing of the Middle East peace agreement yesterday in Egypt, President Meloni asked today, during the Council of Ministers, that all ministries and institutions involved in various capacities in the reconstruction project meet to take stock of the next steps, with particular attention to humanitarian aid.” This was reported by sources at Palazzo Chigi, specifying that the meeting, which will be chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, is scheduled for tomorrow, 15 October, at 2 p.m. in the Green Room of Palazzo Chigi. In the meantime, the Prime Minister will be involved in the Aqaba Process, which will also be held tomorrow in Rome. The meeting will be attended by the relevant ministries (Foreign Affairs, Defence, Universities, Agriculture, Regional Affairs, Disability), the Undersecretary to the Prime Minister, Alfredo Mantovano, and the Civil Protection Department.
