M5S, Grillo: ‘We will keep the symbol and continue with the Movement’s activities and values’

Rome, 23 October (LaPresse) – Beppe Grillo confirms that he will continue the battle for the symbol of the Five Star Movement, whose ‘institutional activities’ he intends to carry on. He does so with a formal act, traced by LaPresse on the website www.movimento5stelle.it, which Grillo himself restored last summer. On 28 April, Grillo convened the “Assembly of Members of the Five Star Movement Association” to discuss and deliberate on the approval of the “final financial statement for the year ending 31 December 2024 and related attachments”. In one of the annexes, the “report on the financial statements”, there is a point on “the foreseeable evolution of management”, which reads: “The Association plans to continue its institutional activities, maintaining ownership of the historical symbols of the Five Star Movement” and the domains www.beppegrillo.it and www.movimento5stelle.it. In keeping with its origins, the Association intends to preserve the founding identity of the Movement and play a role in safeguarding its original core values. Any future initiatives will be evaluated within the scope of the statutory purposes and in compliance with current legislation,‘ the notice states. All this is signed, on behalf of the ’Five Star Movement Association‘, by the ’Chairman of the Board of Directors‘, namely ’Giuseppe Grillo”.
