Savings, Mattarella: ‘They are a fundamental lever for the economy’

Rome, 28 October (LaPresse) – ‘Protecting savings means promoting uses that increase their value, creating conditions so that they can act as a fundamental lever for the economy.’ This was stated by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, in a message sent to the President of Acri, Giovanni Azzone, on World Savings Day. ‘In other words, savings should be a resource that expands personal and collective well-being, projecting this wealth onto future generations,’ said the Head of State. ‘The euro currency itself was created with the aim of preserving and strengthening the savings of European citizens and their purchasing power more effectively.’
