Strait Bridge, ANM: “Undermining the Court of Auditors shows intolerance toward legality”

Milan, Oct. 30 (LaPresse) – “Our full solidarity goes to the colleagues of the Court of Auditors unjustly attacked by government officials for simply performing a function that the law assigns to them in protection of the citizenry. Accounting judges, like all judges, operate with seriousness and competence to safeguard public resources, performing a valuable role in the functioning of the State. Undermining their legitimacy is harmful because it demonstrates a total intolerance toward legality oversight, which is an unavoidable duty of the judiciary, each within its own sphere of competence.” This is stated in a note by the Central Executive Committee of the National Association of Magistrates.
