Gaza, Tajani: ‘Arrest warrant for Netanyahu? Turkey’s choice’

Rome, 8 November (LaPresse) – The international arrest warrant against Netanyahu is “a choice made by Erdogan’s Turkey. I am not in a position to comment on Turkey’s actions. It has made a choice, neither right nor wrong. The Criminal Court has also made a choice, and we will see how they can be implemented.” This was the response of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani to reporters’ questions on the sidelines of the 7th National Conference on Addiction in Rome regarding the arrest warrant issued by Erdogan’s Turkey against, among others, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. ‘Right now, we need to work to try to achieve peace, and we are committed to this,’ added Tajani, who emphasised Italy’s efforts ‘to reach a solution that will allow for the reconstruction of Gaza.’
