Milan, Dec. 2 (LaPresse) – “I would really like the majority and the opposition to collaborate on the electoral law for once. Without any preconceptions. Because if the center-left is convinced, as they say, that they will win in 2027, then having a law that makes the system work better would also be an advantage for them. And above all, it would be an advantage for Italy: stability, which leads to seriousness, which translates into international credibility, is an immense value for a nation that has never had it.“ Luca Ciriani, Minister for Relations with Parliament, said this in an interview with Corriere della Sera. ”What has happened in this legislature is unique. In Italy, we have had 68 different governments so far. The fact that this legislature has been stable is no guarantee that they all will be. We will move forward, and it is likely that the premiership will come into effect not in the next legislature but in the one after that. The fact remains that a similar model is needed for the country,“ he explains. Regarding the budget, Ciriani points out that the majority agrees ”on the pillars of the law.” “There will be some points to refine or add or modify, with amendments. But we are not at all concerned.” It is a “serious budget, made with the resources we had,” he points out. The referendum on justice will have ‘no’ impact on the government, “first because it has always been said that there is no connection between the outcome and the stability of the government. Second, because the yes vote will win.”
